Adobe Photoshop comes as standard with many useful tools and extensions, however; there is also a huge amount of additional plug-ins available to further enhance Photoshop. In some cases people who are running the previous version of Photoshop will enhance this version with free plug-ins rather than purchasing the new release of the latest software.
In this Photoshop tutorial I will demonstrate how to easily install a Photoshop plug-in. The method is much the same for any additional plug-ins, the only thing you would be looking to change is the last step.

For this tutorial we will be adding the extract filter plug-in, we will be looking for the filters folder, however if you where looking to add an extension or Effects then look for this folder. The path we are going to is as follows Computer - C:Drive - Program Files - Adobe - Photoshop CS4 - Plug-Ins - Filters
