Create a Template in Dreamweaver tutorial

free dreamweaver tutorials - web design
Now we have finished creating our basic index.html page, we will now use this page as a template that we can use through our site and apply to all our blank html files we linked up in the previous tutorial. This template will act as the raw page for any further pages we add through our site. In this adobe Dreamweaver cs4 tutorial, we will be creating a template; this will make creating whole pages very simple. First, we need to create editable regions within our page. All other changes must be applied through the actual template itself.

Example, we created an editable region in the main body area of our website, so on each page we can easily edit the area, however should we wish to change anything out with this are we would need to apply this through the template and doing this will automatically update every page within your website. A very efficient and quick way to apply changes to every page with just one click, example, if we wanted to change the header there is no need to change on every page within your website, just do the change on the template and all other pages will change
