In this Dreamweaver tutorial, we create a PHP Script for our contact page, this PHP Script will house information and instructions on what to do with the information gathered, 90 percent of the time this will be our own personal Email address. This tutorial will be completed over four separate tutorials. To best explain your actual form is nothing more than a form that gathers information (so in laymen’s terms the form is a writing pad, whereas the PHP Script is the stamp). It’s the script that forwards the gathered information to your Email address. The script also provides security, we can all view HTML easily by viewing the source code, PHP is a little different and can only be viewed by you. Keeping your personal details secure.
