Welcome to our education epicentre where visitors can watch video and written tutorials on Dreamweaver and Photoshop. We provide tutorials for beginners, intermediate and advanced users. Stay tuned in for the latest SEO techniques.
In this tutorial we demonstrate how to design a website using Adobe Dreamweaver, this tutorial is the first of the series and concentrates on our website layout.
This training video will teach the use of div tags and how they are controlled by cascading style sheets, (CSS).
Although you can experiment with your own design, as we create this website we will be using the traditional layout of header, navigation area, main body and footer. In the following tutorials we will split up the main body area so we have a column layout with a right and left column with a middle area for our main content.
In this tutorial we begin with an introduction specifying what is required when designing a website like a unique domain name (www.helpvid.net) and web hosting space where you can store your website so its accessible 24/7. We will cover both after our website is designed and ready to go live.
The layout used to create our website will be a CSS liquid layout, this will allow our website to auto expand and or contract depending on what resolution of the monitor the visitor is viewing your site through, this can be achieved using percentage attribute in the cascading style sheet (CSS)
