We continue with the design and development of our site. Here we create the wrapper where everything within our site will be housed. Moving on from this we will place our header graphic that we created in Adobe Photoshop.
Now we enter the construction phase and the development of our website. Do not worry if you have no background or header selected as yet, this can be added later.
This is where we start creating Div-tags, for those of you who watched the first two tutorials you already have a basic understanding of div tags and CSS rule definition, for those of you who did not view those tutorials, stop cutting corners and go and check them out.
First we create a wrapper div tag, this will be one big div tag that all others divs will be placed within. This will allow us total control, for example if you wanted to move your whole website 20 pixels padding from the top. Then you need only apply that to the wrapper div and everything within will move to suit (rather than change every div within your page).
This would be a good Idea to experiment, don’t worry this tutorial will be here to correct any mistakes. However at this stage you could experiment with your CSS rule definition to choose your desired font, font colour, page border ect.
