Anchor links, unlike usual links that will take you to another page anchor links will navigate you to a specific part of. As an example you may have come across many terms and conditions page that can be quite lengthily, for this reason you can create an anchor link, this is usually done next to the heading tag so the visitor is taken directly to that particular term, rather than having to scroll through lots of content.
