Dreamweaver Inserting div tags and Cascading Style sheets (CSS)

free dreamweaver tutorials - web design
In the above Dreamweaver tutorial, we begin the construction of our website using cascading style sheets (CSS). This method gives us total control over our website and provides more flexibility and control in the specification of presentation characteristics, enable multiple pages to share formatting, and reduce complexity and repetition in the structural content.

css

Web designers of the past used simple tables to design the structure of a website, however since the birth of CSS you will be hard pushed to find a designer who has not switched over to the wonderful world of CSS where anything seems possible.

We have the option to use our CSS as ID or Class selectors, to best explain. If you plan to only use a particular part of your page that you have designed only once within your website then the ID tag should apply. If you plan to use the same style on multiple pages outwit the actual template, then the class selector should be selected.
