The Importance of Headings

Google’s algorithm pays close attention to the flow of heading tags throughout your website. A good implementation and use of heading tags within your website will result in a higher page rank.

Heading Page Flow

• Your first tag at the top of every page should consist of the <h1> tag.
• The <h1> tag should identify the main category of your page
• Sub Categories to be split up by <h2>, <h3> and so on.
• The appearance of heading tags can be controlled by id or class elements via CSS.
