Who Linksw to My Website

If you have already searched this topic on the web I’m pretty sure you have come across many websites offering downloadable software.  Do you realy want yet another worthless piece of software installed on your computer, do you really want yet another shortcut icon cluttering up your desktop, if not you are in the right place.

Here is a very simple method to determine who is linking to your website.

For this, you can use your browser or the Google, Yahoo and MSN search engines.  Paste the code below into one of the above, of course changing YOUR_WEBSITWE_URL to your own address

link:WEBSITE_URL

For example to see who links to you tube enter the following search: link:youtube.com
Note: If using the MSN Ping search engine you will need to add the http://www.

This method will also allow you to establish who is Subscribing to your RSS feed if you happen to have one at your website, most statistical software have no way of reading this data as it’s javascript based.
